Company Driver

This company is an industry leading manufacturer of labels and packaging for the spirits, water, soft drinks and food industries.

They couldn't do this without the right people and they are looking for another excellent member to join their team.

The Role

To effectively carry out the role of driver for the company's local clients. Your role will involve transporting loads with weights varying from 7 kg to 2,000 kg and ensuring that the load is delivered safely and to the customer's satisfaction.

The ideal candidate will have a friendly, positive personality and have a safe, lawful and respectful driving attitude.

Part of the role will include ensuring that loads are on the vehicle safely and securely with the use of a battery-powered forklift truck and will also include manual labour in the form of transporting boxes to and from the vehicle as well as lending a hand in the despatch department.

You will be expected to comply with the company's various accreditations; namely BRC for Packaging & Packaging Materials, ISO 9001: Quality Management Systems, ISO 18001: Operational Health & Safety Systems, and ISO 14001: Environmental Management Systems.

Qualifications & Experience

- Full, valid, clean driver's license that allows them to drive a 3.5 tonne capacity vehicle.
- Valid forklift truck license/certification that allows them to operate a counterbalance forklift truck.
- Relevant driving experience both in vehicle operation and familiarisation with large site rules with regards to delivery vehicles (knowledge of the Glasgow area is beneficial).
