The role: As Operations Event Co-ordinator, you will be responsible for managing the operational requirements for a portfolio of events for up to several hundred attendees, whilst keeping within budget, to ensure their delivery of a high quality service and to manage customer interface to ensure satisfaction throughout the process.

Actions and responsibilities:

- To coordinator a variety of events including meetings, lectures and conferences.
- To post event advertising, setup and monitor event booking systems.
- To register, support and provide excellent customer service to delegates and other customers.
- Preparation of event reports, delegate badges and information to ensure a smooth event.
- Supply pre-event communication and meeting reminders to delegates to ensure delegates receive correct and accurate information.
- Operate within a budget to ensure that printing, catering and event requirements are met.
- Work with colleagues to create specific guest and ensure that relevant people receive invitations to events.
- Communicate with authors, speakers regarding presentations and audio visual requirements where necessary to ensure the smooth running of events.
- Administer sponsor and exhibitor contracts, ensuring that requirements are met and that fulfilment of contractual obligations are met.
- Liaise with venues to ensure all AV/Catering and operation requirements are met.
- Record meeting minutes as required to ensure records are accurately kept.
- Other ad-hoc tasks as required.

The ideal new Team member: The ideal candidate will have a passion for events management and will see this as an entry level role for this career path. The candidate should also have excellent customer service and communication skills, good attention to detail, and be adept at handling high pressure situations.

Strong organisational and negotiation skills as well as an eagerness to improve output and processes where possible will enable you to excel in this role. Ideally you will also have experience or exposure to an events environment. Experience in meeting event time and financial targets, multitasking across multiple projects and experience using databases is highly desirable.
