Our client is a leading national provider of retirement housing and care services for older people, mainly those aged 65 and above. They are a not-for-profit organisation and operate in over 150 local authority areas – managing around 19,000 Retirement and Extra Care apartments and providing over 80,000 hours of care each week to more than 31,000 customers. They deliver affordable, contemporary, person-centred care and housing that meets individual needs, improves wellbeing and promotes independent living.

They currently have an exciting opportunity for a Business Analyst / Project Manager to join them where you will be responsible for working with the business to review processes, system functionality and business requirements, identifying areas for improvement. This is a full time permanent position based at their Head Office in Birmingham. The role may include national travel and some occasional overnight stays.


Within the role you will be supporting the implementation of Housing & Asset Management and CRM solutions by liaising with internal customers to research, analyse and specify new service requirements. Assisting in converting user requirements into technical specifications for system enhancements, you will develop technical, functional and project initiation documents to support business change and improvement initiatives.

Working closely with the Senior Project Manager and Operational Process Leads, the role involves delivering agreed solutions in a timely and accurate manner, supporting and assisting in projects through the full life cycle and deputising for the Senior Project Manager when required.

Our client is looking for someone with a background in business systems analysis and development, who is also able to project manage in a proactive manner. With a good understanding of IS infrastructure and architecture coupled with design methodology experience (E.g. UML, RAD, DSDM, OO, SSADM) and a knowledge of Microsoft applications (including Outlook, MS Access, InfoPath and Silverlight) you will be highly organised and customer focused.

With the ability to use your own initiative and work unsupervised, you will be an enthusiastic individual who is highly motivated self-confident and decisive. Previous experience of data warehouses and technology, of designing processes for the deployment of integration or workflow technologies is desirable but not essential. What is key is that you have clear communication skills and a high attention to detail.
