Community Programme Co-ordinator
MHA has a unique opportunity available for a Community Programme Co-ordinator based at Ealing LAH in Greenford. The role is a full time, permanent position working 37 hours per week. We are offering the Community Programme Co-ordinator a salary of £9.89 per hour.
MHA is a charity providing care, accommodation and support services for more than 16,000 older people throughout Britain. Our mission is to improve the quality of life of older people, inspired by Christian concern. MHA have embarked on an exciting period of change which will see the services it provides to older people move from Good to Great.
Ealing Live at Home is an exciting new scheme to help older people in the borough of Ealing stay active and healthy in later life. This programme could include any mix from MHA's core service offering - such as befriending, lunch clubs, social outings or clubs. The activities will also help people get out and about and feel less isolated and lonely.
What are the responsibilities of the Community Programme Co-ordinator?
You will be responsible for coordinating and running a programme of activities, the scope of which will vary depending upon local need. All activities will seek to reduce feelings of isolation and loneliness and promote the wellbeing of older people across a range of community settings.
In addition, the post holder will be required to develop new activities based on feedback from and the needs of the community - this could include coordinating with other organisations such as local colleges to offer IT classes or arranging for a local professional to deliver a series of exercise groups.
The Community Programme Co-ordinator will work closely with a variety of internal and external stakeholders and so good communication is as important as having strong organisation skills.
