MHA has a unique opportunity available for a Live at Home Scheme Manager based at Ealing in Greenford. The role is a full time, permanent position working 37 hours per week. We are offering the Live at Home Scheme Manager a salary of £25,725 per annum.
MHA is a charity providing care, accommodation and support services for more than 16,000 older people throughout Britain. Our mission is to improve the quality of life of older people, inspired by Christian concern. MHA have embarked on an exciting period of change which will see the services it provides to older people move from Good to Great.
Ealing Live at Home is an exciting new scheme to help older people in the borough of Ealing stay active and health in later life. The activities will also help people get out and about and feel less isolated and lonely.
What are the responsibilities of the Live at Home Scheme Manager?
You will be responsible for developing and managing the Live at Home Scheme to meet the needs of older people within the local community. The Scheme could operate across multiple sites within the geographical catchment and all Schemes will vary significantly in size, scale and scope.
The Scheme Manager will be responsible for line managing any additional staff appointments to the Scheme - this will depend upon the size of the Scheme and the breadth and volume of services delivered. Volunteers are crucial to the successful operating of any MHA Live at Home Scheme and the Scheme Manager will be responsible for the recruitment and selection and on-going support and supervision of all Volunteers.
What skills do I need to have to become a Live at Home Scheme Manager?
The post requires an individual with a range of business and operational skills, but critically, who possess a strong drive to deliver high quality services that reduce feelings of isolation and loneliness and promote the wellbeing of older people across a range of community settings.
