MHA has a unique opportunity available for a Home Manager based at Hampton Lodge in Southampton. The role is a full time, permanent position working 37.5 hours per week. We are offering the Home Manager a salary of £46,850 per annum.

About Hampton Lodge
Situated just a couple of miles inland from Southampton's famous docks and the coast, Hampton Lodge is a purpose-built home established in the early 1980s, providing high quality and dedicated nursing care for up to 44 people. With its quiet library, shared lounges and landscaped grounds, ideal for meeting others, a welcome sense of community is fostered here. This complements the professionalism of MHA's highly trained staff. Indeed, summer is an especially lovely time here, as this is when residents can choose to lend a hand in tending the colourful, raised flowerbeds in the home's pretty garden.
Inside, the private rooms are well decorated, though residents are encouraged to personalise them with their own possessions, and many of them have en suite facilities for added comfort and convenience.
What are the responsibilities of the Home Manager?
You will be responsible for managing, developing and evaluating all aspects of service within the home, to meet current legislation and comply with MHA policies and procedures.
You will join a thriving staff team and play a critical role in continuing to build the home's reputation and to bring new innovative ideas on how to develop the service. The home has a high specification, and our staff encourage residents to live their daily lives to the full, in the way they wish and we would like you to be a part of this.
What skills do I need to have to become a Home Manager?
This is an excellent opportunity to combine your management skills with your nursing experience; we are looking for a Nurse Manager preferably. (Would consider a Non Nurse Home Manager, However, must have experience of managing a home of a similar size).
You will be an excellent communicator with experience in leading and motivating staff members and developing positive relationships with residents, relatives and volunteers. You will need a 1st level Registered Nurse qualification and current PIN, with a recognised professional management qualification and a willingness to develop.
