Due to a member of the existing Chilled & Frozen commercial team going onto parental leave for a period of time, it is necessary to recruit an individual on a temporary contract to manage some of our existing retailer business contracts. This role will be focussed on improving our profitability with the discounters across multiple product categories. In addition, this person will also be managing Spar, given this retailer is similarly challenging for HDG from a profitability perspective. To achieve the required level of success we are therefore looking to recruit someone who is especially commercially astute, with a good working knowledge of P&L’s down to PBIT level. They need someone who can deliver tough messages, manage change and interface superbly across multiple functions internally.
Key Accountabilities:
Manage customer portfolio and ensure delivery of agreed targets
Sales forecasting
Attendance of site meetings
Reporting and analysis
Experience & Capabilities:
Looking for ca appropriate experience in a chilled & frozen manufacturing business.
Must be highly organised with good attention to detail and be willing to be process driven
High level of commercial acumen, including knowledge of managing a P&L down to PBIT level
Must possess excellent communication skills, both internally and externally.
Must be capable of delivering tough and perhaps unpopular messages to customers.
