Care Home Workers - Highbank Care Home
Based at Highbank Care Home, Eskbank, Dalkeith, you will provide personal care and respond to the social and emotional needs of older people requiring residential care, assessment and Intermediate care. You must have direct experience of residential care work or in a related field of caring for older people. A positive and caring attitude together with a commitment to supporting residents to maintain their independence in terms of choice is essential. A qualification to SVQ level 2 in Social Care, or equivalent is also desirable. You must be willing to undertake training to level 2 SVQ in Social Care within the first 3 years of employment to meet SSSC registration requirements. The vacancies include, Full/part time posts, night shift posts, fixed term, maternity cover and permanent posts. Please note these posts are worked on a rota basis and will include some weekend work.

The rate of pay for this role is £9.51 per hour

Successful candidates will require PVG Scheme membership for Regulated Work with Adults. You will be required to join the Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme Update check prior to commencing employment with Midlothian Council, the cost of which will be met by you.
