Engineering Technician

Salary £16,160 - £18,180 (FTE)

40 hours per week, 40 weeks per year.

Following the retirement of our current technician, we would like to appoint an individual with interest in engineering and technology to join the outstanding engineering team. The role involves providing support to our engineering functions across the college. The role will require a variety of skills and experience including the ability to work without specific instructions to aid the preparation and delivery of practical classrooms lessons by teaching staff, Health and Safety responsibilities including daily checks of equipment and developing and monitoring procedures. Training will be provided for the right applicant. The successful applicant will have a ‘can do' attitude and a desire to support the needs of this strong team.  The successful candidate will be an integral part of the department.  Experience within an engineering field will be advantageous along with experience of working with students however this is not essential. Excellent practical skills and the ability to engage professionally with colleagues and students are key skills.
