It also includes areas such as Strategy & Corporate Affairs, Chief Information Office, Research & Development and Supply Chain who all provide critical support to the business units across the company. The Candidate will contribute to the EDF Energy R&D UK Centre programme on modelling and simulation of the nuclear cores. You'll be involved in particular in two projects: - Development and validation of new data analysis and visualisation tools, to be more efficient in the post-processing of the results of the simulations on the whole graphite core. - Development of probabilistic approaches to correlate the distribution of cracked bricks with the probability of failure of the core under extreme loadings. This opportunity is suitable for any individual that is currently studying (or has recently completed) a degree in Computer Sciences, Mathematics, Statistics, Programming, or an associated subject. You'll be on track to achieve or will have already achieved a 2:1 undergraduate degree or 2:2 postgraduate qualification.
