An opportunity has arisen for a talented person to join my clients Advertising Sales Team. You will be working on a reputable weekly publication and working to build and maintain relationships with local businesses.

Working autonomously, you will be required to take ownership of your sales targets and maximise revenue from your client base of existing and new customers. This role would suit someone looking for their next step in media sales, providing great opportunities to learn about the industry and progress your career within the company.

*Identifying new business opportunities from existing and new accounts through accurate planning.
*Selling across all the publications revenue streams, you should be able to deliver a strong client service from pitching to closing.
*Maintaining relationships with existing client base through regular client contact and being creative to further develop these accounts.
*Bring new ideas and initiatives.
*Develop a strong understanding and awareness of the industry and anticipate and respond to potential opportunities within the marketplaces.
*Selling to a host of widely known businesses, retailers and brands requires impeccable communication, relationship building and influencing skills at all levels, including to key decision makers.
*Attending networking events and business functions in the local community.


Having strong interpersonal and organisational skills is key to this role. The candidate will possess the following attributes:
*Experience in a media sales environment.
*The ability to plan for and work towards deadlines.
*The capability to listen to, understand and respond to expectations and requirements whilst building relationships.
*Be computer proficient with experience in MS Office: Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.


This position offers a competitive basic salary of up to ??30,000 and a generous commission package (uncapped), company pension scheme, great working conditions and excellent prospects for career development. There is also and opportunity moving forward to have shares in the company holding a company stake for the right candidate.

Working hours are 9 - 6 Monday to Friday, based from home with regular travel in and around the Cheltenham area.
