Due to continued growth we are seeking an experienced Process Control Engineer to work at a busy manufacturing site.

Key responsibilities:

* Improve safety, process efficiency, & product quality
* Identify the causes of product quality & plant runnability issues, & their most cost effective solution
* Analysis and examination of data reporting to assess and report on trends as well as determining improvement processes required
* Coordinate long-term trials/projects with relevant departments, determining effectiveness & managing suppliers
* Ensure optimum plant efficiency & quality through effective plant optimisation/development and the application of troubleshooting techniques
* Budget control for Chemical Treatment programs with direct responsibility for their effective control, including liaison with external suppliers, Trial Management & ecological impact
* Ensure effective utilisation of available internal and external Technical Resources within the area
* Ensure effective technical communication between departments by building strong cross-departmental links

Experience Required:

* Heavy manufacturing
* Process Controller
* BSc in Paper Science or Chemistry

What we are looking for?

- Knowledge / understanding of papermaking (this would be an ideal)

- An individual who is inquisitive when they recognise something that looks wrong in the process and does something about it

- Has an analytical mind and can present data so decisions can be made.

- Keeps good records

- Capable of being self managed and proactive

- Someone who is comfortable in getting 'hands on' in the process, not just wanting to sit behind a computer

- An individual who can handle a robust environment and can also deal with being challenged

- Someone who will stay on as and when required to see the urgent need to get the machine away
