Currie & Brown has a range of opportunities across its UK offices and is currently looking for a principal designer who meets the following requirements:

* APS-registered IMaPS Principal Designer
* Full working knowledge of CDM2015 Regulations and strong working knowledge of construction-associated regulations eg HASAWA, RIDDOR, COSHH etc
* Minimum of 5-10 years' CDM experience, ideally with construction design and project running
* Ability to run multiple projects (??50k-??20m) simultaneously, meeting client timetables, deadlines and requirements
* Fully competent in undertaking construction site safety inspections
* Ability to self-organise and self-motivate
* Ability to travel at short notice and to be flexible with working hours
* Commercially astute

The successful candidate will support project leaders in generating a high standard of service delivery, achieving successful outcomes for our clients, capturing and sharing knowledge across projects, enhancing our culture of innovation and reinforcing our reputation as preferred service provider.

Responsibilities for the successful candidate will include:

* Attending project design and progress meetings, being well-presented and articulate at all times
* Compiling and issuing reports and recommendations compliant with current construction regulations and best practices
* Responding to client and contractor queries quickly and accurately
* Undertaking invoicing and financial management for projects
* Maintaining competence through regular CPD
* Generating new CDM work
