Melbreck Technical is currently working with a designer and manufacturer of electronics equipment based in Chard. My client is actively looking for an EMI/EMC DESIGN & TEST Engineer. The successful candidate will be coming from development / R&D background.
Typical tasks/responsibilities:
???Working closely with the design team you will provide regulatory guidance regarding design, development and evaluation ensuring compliance of the end product.
???Define and maintain guidelines, best practices and design checks to minimise EMI/EMI issues during a typical development cycle.
???Work toward installing and maintaining a full compliance EMI/EMC chamber
???Define & maintain principles and procedures for EMI/EMC during goods inward stage.
???Update and maintain EMI/EMC product compliance library, aligning with relevant engineering change orders.
Knowledge and skill requirements:
???Experience of EMI / EMC standards, mainly focused on house hold and industrial equipment. Typically EN55014 and similar standards worldwide.
???Ability to measure and interpret conducted & radiated emissions results
???Design & articulate EMI / EMC solution & requirements
???Altium Designer experience
???Electronics background
???Good written & spoken English essential
???Experience with FCC, CE and other worldwide regulation and certificate schemes for conducted / radiated and immunity.
???In-depth knowledge of IEC 61000 or CISPR 16 essential
