Marketing & Events Co-ordinator

Our client, based in Gloucestershire, is an established, growing and profitable business. The company is exceptionally dynamic and forward thinking so this is an excellent opportunity to join their small, vibrant marketing team, while there is the rare opportunity to do so.

This varied position may be ideal for someone with a CIM certificate, an events/hospitality qualification or equivalent experience of working in a Marketing and events role, either client or agency-side.
This job is offered as a full time, permanent role.

The role
??? Planning and preparation of the internal and external events / activities throughout the year :-
- Generate new leads by showcasing the business's product range prospective customers.
- Grow existing customer accounts via gap fill, upsell and new product/range opportunities, as well as insight.
- Create and host memorable experiences for our valued customers, thus aiding retention and advocacy.
- Give the suppliers value for money from their marketing investments whilst making their support relevant to the business.
??? Support the supplier engagement with marketing activity across print and digital.
The Person
??? Demonstrable experience of event planning and execution within budget and in line with objectives, including the marketing of events to attract target footfall.
??? Experience and competence in digital and traditional marketing methods for events and wider remit, as well as ROI measurement. Eg email Marketing, web analytics, mailchimp or similar, CMS updates and social media.
??? Strong communication skills with the ability to influence key stakeholders, as well as high levels of organisation, with a strong track record of meeting deadlines.
??? A self-starter, able to work autonomously, with strong attention to detail and pride in work produced.
??? Good commercial understanding and the ability to learn and develop new skills and processes.
??? Strong writing skills with a high level of computer literacy, including MS windows suite.

Hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hours a week but flexibility is required as some events will run outside the normal office hours.
