Our client is a very well established main contractor with a regional base in Bristol. Their area of expertise involves taking heritage buildings and turning them into high spec apartments and new homes within inner city areas.

Due to ongoing growth regionally, they have approached us with the need to recruit an experienced Site Manager to join them on a permanent basis. Initially, you will work as part of a very high profile ??30 million scheme in the heart of the City.

Reporting to a Senior PM on site, your roles and responsibilities will include:

To assist in the management & organisation of all onsite activities and/or resources, including but not limited to labour, sub-contractors, materials & equipment.
To monitor & record all onsite activities.
To motivate your 'team' to deliver the project, to the agreed parameters, with a commitment to health & safety, presentation and all the Stakeholders involved i.e. colleagues, customers, professionals, suppliers, sub-contractors etc.
To build to the pre-determined quality, specification, programme & budget; and ensure that others have these in place at the beginning of the project.
To give clear instructions at all times.
To record the daily progress of works using, but not limited to: Daily Diary, Plant Return, Labour Return, Confirmation of Verbal Instruction (CVI), Request for Information (RFI).
To produce short-term programmes to be approved by the Site Manager.
To ensure the Health & Safety obligations of the company are met at all times including the maintenance of all necessary records, including scaffold register, lifting register, accident book, inductions etc
To ensure all sub-contractors, suppliers etc. meet their Health & Safety obligations.
To liase with all Statutory services and co-ordinate their activities onsite. Working to a programme and deadlines to achieved handover dates.
Supervise all subcontractors to a high level of finishing standard and meeting set handover dates.

This role would suit an experienced Site Manager, with at least some experience of working on busy housing sites. Ideally you will also have experience of delivering high specification projects locally.

On offer is the opportunity to work with an award winning contractor that can guarantee job security working on some of the region's highest profile schemes
