An international leader in the manufacture of consumer products is currently searching for a driven, robust and ambitious Head of Manufacturing to take full manufacturing ownership of a fast-paced business at their large manufacturing facility based in the South West.
Supplying into multiple blue-chip commercial and retail customers this market leading company constantly strives to consistently improve service, improve quality and reduce cost. They now need to secure a leading senior manufacturing professional with the vision to take the operation forward.
I've outlined the core specification for the Head of Manufacturing for you to review below.
Core responsibilities:
* To make sure that that product is produced to cost, on time and in quantity within a volatile market with ever changing customer requirements and lead times.
* Full ownership of manufacturing operations and raw material processing through to logistics
* Engineering and maintenance function for the entire site
* 400 to 500 staff reporting directly/indirectly
* Drive site wide improvement - blue-chip contracts renewed on a yearly basis - constantly strive to improve service, improve quality, reduce cost to secure and grow market share
* CAPEX proposals - Investment into the facility and new technology
Candidate Specification:
* Industry - Food has good transferable skills, FMCG essential
* Key is the ability to hit deadlines in a volatile environment - lots of SKU's - constantly changing product lines
* Responsibility of a team of 200+ and able to hit ground running
* Suits an individual that was worked their way up in the manufacturing/ production side of an FMCG business
* Mental toughness - week on week, month on month - constantly changing deadlines in response to customer market trends
A salary of up to ??90,000 is on offer as well as an excellent benefits package with potential flexibility for the ideal candidate.
