Data Analyst - Medical devices
Stratford-upon-Avon
The primary purpose of the Data Analyst role is to collect and analyse statistical data that can be used by the business to inform strategic reliability and business decisions by evaluating risk, and develop predictive statistical tools to inform business decisions.
Key Tasks:
- Run various mathematical calculations to determine how the data samples might best be applied to inform the business.
- Provision of reliability performance metrics for reporting to line management.
- Closely work with the other members of the Reliability and Engineering teams to identify reliability issues with components, sub-systems and systems level.
- Inform root cause and failure analysis activities within the Reliability Team to derive the required improved reliability performance.
- Identify trends and patterns of information to extrapolate data by using advanced computerised models.
- Taking part in meetings and presentations to convey the findings.
- Prepare and present clear reports and findings in an accessible and unambiguous way by using graphical features to inform various members of the business at different levels of seniority.
- Responsibilities include conducting full life cycle activities to include requirements analysis and design, developing analysis and reporting capabilities, and continuously monitoring performance and quality control plans to identify improvements for reliability.

Required Experience:
Essential:
- -Computer Science, Mathematics or Physics qualifications to Masters or PhD level or relevant experience
- -Extensive proven skill in mathematics, computer science and analysis
- -Strong experience with SQL database including query and report writing
- -Familiarity with reliability concepts and analysis (Weibull/Poisson/Binomial)
Person Specification:
- A self-motivated individual with excellent teamwork skills combined with the discipline to work extremely well on his/her own if required.
- Strong organisational and communication skills involving the ability to disseminate information and knowledge whilst listening and putting into practice advice and instructions.
- An excellent eye for detail, can identify trends and patterns of information with excellent computer skills.
- Must be skilled in the use of Microsoft Office and be expected to use other computer applications as necessary.
- A current UK driving licence
