Software Developer- Java, C# or C++ - ??40,000 -??45,000 + benefits per annum, Cheltenham

An advanced security software company has an opportunity for an experienced Software Developer to join their team in detecting and managing technical security incidents. The role is based in their newly refurbished offices in Cheltenham, with easy access to good transport links. The Developer will work with an existing small and dynamic team and on a solo basis, and will be given responsibility to pursue original solutions to a diverse range of challenges utilising the latest technology.

The Developer will be responsible for designing, developing and maintaining in house software applications, be involved in all stages of the software development lifecycle and will work alongside a team of security incident respondents.

The successful candidate will have solid relevant work experience, strong coding abilities in at least one high level language preferably Java, C# or C++, and a knowledge of big data solutions. Demonstrable experience in source control, bug tracking and the software development lifecycle will be needed, in addition to a good knowledge of front end development using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript and JQuery. In addition, skills in some of the following would be advantageous but not essential: MongoDB, ElasticSearch, Python, WPF, REST, MVC, Entity Framework, C, and TCP.
