Delivery Manager (Software Development - Agile) | ??50k - ??75k + bonus/benefits | Bristol, UK
One of the UK's most highly regarded software development consultancy firms are seeking a number of experienced Delivery Manager's to join their delivery team working on a number of major, greenfield software projects for one of the biggest brands in the UK. The role of Delivery Manager will lead role of the delivery of complex technical solutions, typically focusing around software development/delivery, leadership of tech teams and managing stakeholders.
The company in question have a highly regarded reputation as being the 'go-to' company for particularly technically demanding and innovative projects in the UK. They have produced some of the most high profile enterprise solutions for some of the biggest brand names in the UK, across multiple sectors and this particular project is no different. They not only offer challenging and demanding work but have a highly innovative culture which encourages collaboration and forward thinking. They utilise cutting edge technologies spanning web, mobile, desktop, cloud and big data.
The Delivery Manager role is a key leadership position working alongside both technologists (developers, architects, DevOps, etc) as well as senior management. The role spans technology and project management and requires the successful candidate to have a strong background in technology (ideally software development/Test or alike) as well as upwardly facing stakeholder management skills. You will understand the different roles people play across the whole software and project lifecycle and be able to lead agile teams in delivery large scale enterprise solutions.
To be considered for the role of Delivery Manager you will have:
- 5+ Years experience working as a technology focused delivery lead, spanning technology and project management
- Technical background, ideally in software development, test, infrastructure or alike
- Strong background and understanding of Agile delivery
- Experience in a client facing delivery role would be ideal but not essential
- Experience and understanding of DevOps and/or AWS is highly desirable
- Ability to build relationships and manage senior level stakeholders effectively
- Strong technical understanding around software and infrastructure (cloud, big data, etc)
- Experience of working in large scale blue-chip environments
Personally you will be delivery focused and pragmatic in approach. You will have first class interpersonal skills and the ability to work closely with both technical teams and business focused stakeholders. You will be driven by challenging work and be looking to progress you career quickly in a fast moving, highly agile organisation.
This is a key role working for a new, growing and highly innovative technical consultancy firm. The role will be based in London with limited travel and will have you working on multi million pound, enterprise level projects for some of the biggest companies in the UK.
