VACANCY: Neighbourhood Housing Assistant

BRC are pleased to announce we have a temporary Neighbourhood Housing Assistant with a mixed Support Housing provider in central Bristol, to start as soon as possible for 3 month contract with possible extension. The skills required for this role commands a payrate of ??9.50 per hour.

The Neighbourhood Housing Assistant role involves undertaking the following duties:

- To undertake pre-void inspections, void checks and clean and clears.
- In line with the organisation`s policy on allocations, to assess, interview, and sign up tenants, including completion of the service`s entry and exit checklist tasks and using the Housing Support Register (HSR).
- To issue occupancy agreements and ensure that tenants understand their rights and responsibilities in relation to the relevant legislation.
- To ensure the security of the properties, colleagues and residents by following health and safety procedures and seeking guidance from peers and management where required.
- To identify defects in the accommodation, furniture and equipment, following the dispersed accommodation maintenance procedures to remedy defects, report the completion of repairs, and undertake repairs as appropriate.
- Assist in the management of keys and locks at including, getting keys cut and changing locks.

The successful Neighbourhood Housing Assistant would ideally have a a good knowledge of Housing or worked in a similar environment. You will need demonstrable experience within Housing Management or Neighbourhoods roles and display good customer services skills, and be immediately available for interview and start.

The role essentially requires a full driving licence with use of your own car, and to have a current enhanced DBS certificate.
