We are looking for a flexible and keen HR Advisor to join our Consultancy. We are an established HR consultancy with an excellent reputation for delivering a very high quality service to clients across a variety of industries throughout Gloucestershire
The HR Advisor will be required to give sound advice and work with our clients? on HR and day-to-day employment issues/projects; Build fruitful and long lasting partnerships with our clients by fully understanding their business and people needs and maintaining an excellent customer experience at all times.
Your role will involve:
* Deliver own KPI?s and contribute to the overall business KPI?s
*Manage client relations with the nominated clients and ensure smooth communication
*Ensure high quality work on all projects as assessed by clients/colleagues
* Demonstrate the building and utilisation of commercial networks at all levels
* Proactively building relationships with organisations in order to assist the identification, development and closure of sales opportunities
* Maximise profitable sales through identifying and supporting sales opportunities and acting upon them
* Working on client assignments e.g. producing terms and conditions statements, staff handbooks, salary benchmarking, people plans
* Giving sound advice to our clients on day-to-day employment issues, e.g. holiday entitlements and pay, sick pay and entitlements, maternity, first stage disciplinary matters, employee complaints, employee queries
* Deliver projects such as disciplinary and grievance meetings, absence, restructuring, reorganisation and competencies
* Research and compile policies, toolkits, projects, seminars in a timely manner
* Recording of all work done on behalf of clients ensuring it is measured and chargeable, CRM updates for all work completed, advice over the phone and any written work, projects, workshops etc.
* Design and deliver training on HR associated training
* Raise invoices for delivered work as required
* Proactively ensure that CPD is kept up to date to deliver core business requirements currently and in the future to continually develop self and the business offering
To be successful in your application, you will need the following:
* CIPD Qualification up to level 5 or equivalent desirable
* Able to train and deliver workshops on general HR issues e.g. Absence management/ Dignity at Work
* Must be able to multi-task and prioritise ? there are often a number of cases on the go at any one time and there is a need to be able to swop from one to the other
* Have great organisational skills and understand the importance of deadlines and flexibility
* Able to make detailed and comprehensive notes on all conversations
* To be able to flex your answers to suit variety of different companies
* To ask a variety of relevant questions to get to the bottom of the issue so good investigatory skills and great listening skills
* To be able to understand the needs of each individual company
* Sometimes it?s not always possible to ?do best practice? so the point is to mitigate risk and give options
* Need to be able to build strong relationships with the client
* Able to use initiative and know when to ask for help
* Confident about networking at seminars
* Need to be diplomatic, persuasive and calm when others are not
* The communication style needs to be clear, direct and positive, with the focus on supporting our clients to achieve effective business outcomes
* A real interest in employment law and its application is essential, as well as the ability to communicate complex employment issues to people from other professional disciplines
