This is a unique opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor to join an expanding, national construction consultancy on a permanent basis.
Opening a brand new office in Weston Super Mare this consultancy offer post and pre contract services into main contractors on a variety of projects from traditional construction projects to multi-million pound mixed used developments.
The right candidate will be a key member of the commercial team and will report to the regional Director, the working environment is well balanced which creates a rewarding atmosphere.
You will:
-Ensure accurate costing and preparation of budgets for each aspect of site development.
-Prepare tenders and procure sub-contractors.
-Undertake cost comparisons and managing a cost base for use in viabilities.
-Maintain budget control throughout development.
-Liaise with site personnel and subcontractors in order to maximise productivity.
-Evaluate and agree variations and instructions.
-Manage cost overruns within tolerance levels.
-Share best practices with junior members of staff.
Our client is looking for someone with:
- Experience within the construction industry gained in a QS capacity.
- Good management skills and a track record of delivering good results.
- A degree or similar technical qualification in a relevant subject is preferred.
