Senior Test Engineer
An interesting position for a Senior Test Engineer has become available working with a globally renowned leading supplier of high-quality analog and mixed-signal semiconductor products.

As Senior Test Engineer you will be based in the Bristol office and be reporting to the Test Manager.
You will be playing a key role supporting the Test Team in the delivery of high quality test results utilising 'best practice' methodologies in-line with quality management systems and requirements.
The Role
Job purpose:
The job-holder delivers high quality test results utilising 'best practice' methodologies in-line with quality management systems and requirements.
Principal Responsibilities:
* Participates in new product design meetings and drives analog/digital DFT techniques in new designs;
* Develops and implements test solutions for new products including software, hardware and documentation;
* Actively participates in the product development teams throughout the NPI cycle focussing on DFT and testability;
* Develops and maintains collaborative working relationships with designers, product, validation, test and applications engineers;
* Feedback & communicate with the product or project team regarding problems, defects, questions & suggestions that arise during the development & delivery lifecycle;
* New product ATE characterization;
* Test Solution qualification over voltage and temperature;
* Collect and organize test and measurement data and create reports;
* Create production documentation for the test solutions;
* Identification, review & maintenance of test cases & test results;
* Ensure that document & quality reviews take place & are recorded.
Key performance expectations:
* Executes appropriate test solutions and keeps the core team up-to-date;
* Delivery of high quality test results in line with quality management standards;
* Well written, accurate and timely produced reports and updates, containing clearly presented results;
* Good working relationships developed and maintained;
* Timescales met.
Knowledge, skills and experience:
* Degree in Electronic Engineering or similar discipline;
* Proven experience in ATE semiconductor testing;
* Bring up and support in offshore test locations;
* Wafer probe test development;
* Data communication hardware design/debugging or RF hardware design/debug experience;
* ATE development hands on experience, including writing test methods. V93K preferred;
* Mixed signal testing experience. Familiar with DSP testing techniques, under sampling and Fourier analysis;
* Schematic Design Entry / PCB Layout using tools such as Protel Designer;
* Ability to perform PCB design reviews;
* Understand the contributors to cost and design cost effective test solutions;
* In-depth understanding of hardware test methodologies and procedures;
* Proficient in the use of MS Visio, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Email systems.
Additional information:
* Occasional travel may be required;
* Undertake such other comparable duties as may be required by the Team Manager or VP, Product, Test & Optical AE.
