Depot Manager

The role will primarily be to manage a 15 man depot specialising within the equipment rental sector

Oversee and manage the national hire desk
Ensure correct systems and procedures are followed by all Depot employees
Ensure that the Depot staff deliver a high standard of customer service at all times
Manage KPI's and overall Depot performance
Asset management
Comply with H&S regulations and legislation
First line HR, training and employee product awareness
Liaise with colleagues to optimise efficiency and Depot excellence
Monthly physical parts stock checks and stock management
The ideal candidate must be customer focused and a well organised individual with a minimum 5 years' experience in the construction equipment rental sector.

They must also have:
A proven track record in a management position, expertise in being able to lead, coach and develop a team
A hands on approach to management, knowing everything that is going on in relation to the Depot, as well as leading from the front
Full Driving Licence
Local area knowledge for the Depot area served
Good Health & Safety knowledge
Proven track record in employee management
An ability to achieve goals and objectives
Excellent customer service skills
Good communication skills including numeracy and literacy
First rate knowledge of Hire Software
Advanced use of Excel and Word is essential
Ability to influence and negotiate effectively at all levels
Ability to work under pressure to set deadlines and prioritise tasks
A confident and flexible attitude
Be able to manage assistant depot manager, team of hire controllers, mobile and workshop fitters
