My client is a tier one automotive supplier all most of the major automotive manufacturers around the world, they seek a Key Account Manager to join their team in Gloucester.
Responsibilities within this position:
The position holder shall be responsible for the maintenance of close customer contact, resolving any related queries as and when they arise by liaison with all personnel concerned and shall be aware of relevant developments, competition, etc, in order to facilitate the maintenance and enhancement of the company?s position in the market.
Duties shall include, but not be restricted to
- Responsible for the successful launch of new products on time, within budget and to agreed customer specifications
- The progression of any queries, which arise through the internal departments and personnel necessary to achieve satisfactory resolution.
- Seeking out enquiries and following up quotations, for new business. Develop budgets for new business. Deliver new business to target.
- Keeping abreast of, and advising on, any appropriate new developments and trends, which may affect the company, its customers and prospects and the industry in general.
- Being aware of major area of competition from all points of interest, for example market presence, pricing and quality.
- Regular personal visits to customer plants and facilities, offering advice and recommendations as appropriate.
- Acting as one of the company's main contacts on designated new vehicle programmes and participating in APQP meetings and other cross-reference forums, etc. as required, to facilitate the successful introduction of new products and engineering changes.
- Participation with customers in VA/VE and similar initiatives, as required.
- Being aware of pricing structures and requirements within the company, as they apply to the function.
- Negotiation with customers in certain circumstances in respect of warranty investigations, and the relaying on relevant information to the Engineering and Quality Control functions.
- Consideration of Safety, Quality and Environmental concerns at all times.
General Responsibilities within the Company:

- Maintaining the integrity of the company;
- Playing an active role in achieving departmental targets.
- Communicating with the workforce at all levels
- Adhering to safety regulations and procedures at all times.
- Adhering to Quality and Environmental Management Systems at all times.
- Maintaining confidentiality within the Company.
- Undertake training to fulfil responsibilities.
This position shall require flexibility in working arrangements. In addition to the duties and responsibilities described at the interview and induction stages, or outlined at a later time, the position holder shall be required to carry out such duties, responsibilities and additional tasks, as necessary, within the position holder?s capabilities
