The Group is a well-established building services company with a strong specialism in plumbing & heating, electrical and low carbon building solutions. Our offices and 300+ strong workforce are located throughout the North of the UK.

Our work is predominantly within the new build housing sector for large blue chip building companies and  also national building Companies.

Our Yorkshire division is currently looking to recruit a Plumbing Production Supervisor who will be responsible for the successful delivery of contracts throughout the Yorkshire region. The full Job Description can be found below:

The overall purpose of the role:

* To ensure the smooth running, supervision and operation of sites and programme of works in line with client expectations, the contract requirements and JND's own requirements
* Lead a team of qualified plumbing and heating operatives and supervise them in all aspects of their works, ensuring safe working and delivering high standards

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

* Ensure all operatives are working to company H&S policy, Risk and Method statements and safe systems of work are followed at all times, and undertake regular toolbox talks
* Work with operatives and others to achieve targeted production levels
* Motivate and lead teams of Plumbing Engineers
* Order materials and arrange dates to suit. Follow up the delivery of any shortages
* Attend meetings where necessary to discuss the progress of jobs and rectify any problems which have arisen
* Organise labour to suit weekly programmes and manage labour efficiently and effectively. Project labour requirements on headcount model up to 3 months in advance
* Provide Divisional Directors with labour/contract analysis as and when required
* Check operative's payroll paperwork has been submitted accurately and in line with agreed procedures
* Produce master booking in sheets and final weekly authorisation of time and production sheets
* Ensure we are working to the tender we have submitted and budget set
* Ensure instructions are received for any variation work requests
* Establish procedures for maintaining high standards of quality, reliability and safety of contracts
* Follow company procedures and policies on best practice, quality control procedures and high standard of work expected
* Conduct weekly site visits inspecting works
* Follow drawings, specifications and plans to ensure that specified work is carried out accordingly
* Offer advice, guidance and support when required to all Plumbing Engineers as their line manager and direct contact from site
* Work with the Customer Care department to ensure outstanding defects are undertaken in a timely manner and updated on for contracts assigned to the supervisor
* Meet with tenants and homeowners to resolve queries and customer care issues
* Attending labour meetings, contract meetings and pre-start meetings as and when required
* Discuss any problems that cannot be resolved at site level with the appropriate Director and implement agreed solution
* Work under pressure to ensure tight programme deadlines are adhered to.
* Liaise with site managers and contract managers and build good working relationships and ensuring site programmes are discussed and met on sites
* Manage materials and stock levels on sites and take-off of materials accurately
* Ensure effective time management and prioritising of works required
* Present a positive image of the company at all times
* Be flexible and work additional working hours to meet the requirements of your job role when required

Knowledge, Experience and Skills required:

* NVQ Level 3 Plumbing and Heating or equivalent
* CSCS Health and Safety
* CCN1, CEN1, HTR1, WAT1, CKR1
* Substantial Experience in Plumbing and Heating
* Experience of working within a similar role or in a supervisory role
* Excellent written and verbal communication and organisation skills
* Demonstrate ability to manage and lead teams
* Ability to communicate with all levels of staff and customers
* Understanding of the key factors in contract performance
* Familiar with Microsoft word, excel and emails
