Are you struggling to find a permanent social care role in Stroud? Keen to gain some more specialist experience and training? We have vacancies for compassionate, enthusiastic Support Worker to join our learning disabilities team.

You would be working in either a well-established and bustling residential service, or in an intimate supported living setting (we are recruiting across both!). You would be using your positive and compassionate attitude to support adults who have a range of learning disabilities, including communication difficulties and sensory impairments.

One day you could be supporting somebody to find a job, encouraging them and giving them the confidence to go for it; the next you could be helping somebody to develop a prize-winning vegetable plot! This role involves supporting unique individuals with a vast range of varying abilities, dreams and goals- it can be challenging at times, but offers massive rewards for the right person.

Guaranteed 37 hours per week (part-time contracts also available), working to early, late and sleep shift patterns. Please note this role does require flexibility to work weekends as our residents require support every day.

Responsibilities

- Willingness to complete training and qualifications to develop your skill-set
- Supporting with all needs of our residents, including personal care and domestic support

Requirements
- To be able to commute reliably to the service for the shift times specified
- Excellent communication skills
- Able to demonstrate honesty, openness and reliability throughout the recruitment process
- A positive personality and attitude!
