We are currently looking for a Financial Controller to work in Gloucester.
This role is to lead the financial support to the organisation, ensuring business and financial control and helping drive profitable sales growth.
Your role will involve:
??? Reporting & forecasting of the UK business to both the local management team and the Europe, Australia and Canada organisation
??? Volume & pricing, gross margins, VSE, S&M expenses & headcount with explanations of trends, movements and variances
??? Provision of sales data & calculation of sales rep monthly commissions
??? Being a member of the UK management team, provide financial advice and guidance to support the business and help drive profitable sales growth
??? Provide monthly sales analysis, complementing with additional insights
??? Customer sales analysis, including sales contract reviews and rebate calculations
??? To support the accounting team in ensuring the accounts are accurately recorded at the end of the month in both SAP and BOPC and support a quarterly balance sheet review of the UK legal entity
??? Sales & Marketing expense support, including invoice approval; reporting & control
??? Compliance with appropriate accrual and tracking of grants, agreements & expenses
??? Support the accounting team in their interaction with external auditors
Education
??? Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
??? Accounting qualification (preferably ACA)
Experience
??? 5+ years of accounting or finance experience preferably in the medical device industry
Knowledge and Skills
??? Understanding of US GAAP and SOX compliance
??? Ability to analyze business issues, provide simple summaries with recommended solutions
??? Strong oral and written communication skills
??? Proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint
??? Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities and respect deadlines
??? Ability to take initiative and lead process improvement
