BRC social housing agency are seeking a Night Support Worker for a charitable organisation based in Bristol. There is part time of 20 hours and full time of 40 hours available. The hours will be working on a rota basis off 4 nights on and 4 nights off and to include weekends.

The Housing Assistant`s objective is to contribute to the effective running of the high support services, by providing a comprehensive housing management service. A Housing Assistant will additionally support Project Workers in empowering young people to develop independent living skills, by working on elements of each young person`s support programme

As a night support worker you will:

- Undertake pre-void inspections, void checks and assist in the clearance and maintenance of voids
- Liaise with the projects` management team and external agencies to work towards ensuring that both projects are fully occupied at all times, including updating the projects` occupancy charts.
- Assist the Project Workers to achieve positive outcomes and stated goals for the young people they case manage, always adhering to the organisation`s policy on confidentiality.
- Promote service user participation and involvement within and outside of the organisation, providing young people with regular opportunities to involve themselves in shaping the way services are delivered and in contributing to policy and procedural changes.
- Contribute to the upkeep of the projects, ensuring that individual service user rooms, communal and staff areas are well maintained,
- Report to the High Support team on all matters relating to the service

As a night support worker you will have:

- Flexible approach and strong commitment to developing young people`s independence
- Understanding the importance of working within equal opportunities, safeguarding and confidentiality guidelines.
- Empathy with the cause of homelessness amongst young people and the barriers they face.
- Ability to provide high quality support and customer care whilst managing challenging situations
- Enhanced DBS check
