Principal / Senior Landscape Architect
Our client is one of the UK's leading environmental consultancies, with specialist knowledge in planning, landscape design and ecology. With three decades of experience, they help developers to balance their goals with the needs of the environment.
They are currently looking to recruit an experienced Principal / Senior Landscape Architect (deputy team leader) to join their friendly team in Avon.
The role will include supporting and working with the Principal Landscape Architect in the day to day management of the Landscape Team, which currently numbers six landscape architects and support staff.
The ideal candidate will have at least eight years' experience working in a private or public sector landscape office. A genuine interest in working in a multi-disciplinary environment with ecologists and planners will be welcomed.
The key candidate requirements for the role are:
A confident, positive and proactive approach
Experience in managing less experienced staff, including mentoring
Keenness to take on responsibilities for projects and people
Ability to win new business
Knowledge of the regulatory planning environment
Ability to prepare clear, concise, accurate reports and plans
Good communication skills
Excellent time and task management skills
Good IT skills in appropriate design packages
A flair for creative thinking and good freehand drawing skills
A full UK driving licence
