Our clients, a non-profit organisation based in Taunton currently have an exciting opportunity for a Part Time Management Accountant to join their team.

You will be required to work 18 hours per week, however you can choose how you work these providing they are between 08:30 - 17:00 Monday-Friday. The annual salary for this role will be ??24,601 pa, working out at ??11,808 pro rata.

The main purpose of the role will be to produce monthly management accounts, including written & graphical reports comparing figures to the budget, to assist in the production of monthly forecasts and cash flows, and to assist in the production of the yearly budget.

The key responsibilities of the role will be to:

* Produce monthly management accounts and reports, comparing these figures to the budget and explaining variations.
* Analyse the financial performance and assist in re-forecasting each month for the financial year.
* Assist in preparing the annual budget.
* Assist in paying suppliers and other creditors via internet banking
* Work with all departments and the senior management team to help make financial decisions and recommend ways of reducing costs.
* Assist in preparing figures for the year end accounts and providing information for audits
* Assist in the preparation of KPIs for the Resource Committee and Board Meetings
* Reconcile accounts on sage, such as, suppliers, salaries, PAYE/NI
* Maintain the fixed asset register
* Work alongside the finance team, particularly client accounts with the Rent and Arrears Advisor.
* Hold regular meetings with managers regarding budgets
* Carry out such duties as may from time to time be required by the Finance Director, CEO or Board of Management, which are of a similar nature and commensurate with the role.

The successful candidate will be AAT qualified, have a good knowledge of Sage Accounting Software, and be analytical and logical with problem solving. You will have good communications and presentation skills with good attention to detail and a willingness to work flexibly in response to the needs of the organisation and its changing environment
