Nicholas Associates Group (Engineering and Technical Division) is once again partnered with a long standing national client. A leading UK manufacturing business with multiple sites throughout the UK, their latest vacancy is for a Production / Manufacturing Engineer to join one of their factories in Gloucestershire.
The role is extremely varied, and will comprise elements such as meeting production deadlines, ensuring that quality is maintained, health and safety compliance, training and development, continuous improvement programmes, CAPEX project work and problem resolution.
Key Duties Include:
* Implement and champion continuous improvement and process improvement.
* Maximize production outputs, exceed KPI's.
* Organize training where necessary.
* Produce process improvement documentation and introduce to workforce.
* Lead capital expenditure projects
Skills & Experience:
* You will come from a strong Production Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering environment, ideally in the metals manufacturing sector.
* You will hold a formal qualification in Engineering, Production, Manufacturing, Metallurgy or Chemistry.
* Strong knowledge of LEAN Tools i.e. 5s, TPM, Six Sigma, OEE, etc.
* You will have experience of working as part of a multi-disciplined team tasked with maximising production efficiency and quality.
* You will have a high degree of computer literacy with MS Office. Experience of MRP / ERP systems is beneficial
* You will be familiar with project based work and will be used to working to deadlines.
* You will be a provider of solutions, not simply a highlighter of problems.
