Natalie Wood is currently recruiting for a Bakery Scientist to join a leading Food and Drinks R&D company based in Gloucestershire, on a full time, permanent basis. This client provides scientific, technical, and legislative support to the food, drinks and allied industries worldwide.
Job Summary:
The job holder will conduct scientific and technical activities relating in particular to baking and cereal processing, in order to best serve the interests of the relevant industrial sectors. A requirement will be to interact with clients, both internal and external, to generate project proposals, discuss findings and write coherent reports. Presentations to clients will be important for project work, training courses and client meetings. The role will require contact with a broad range of clients (including industry, government and academia), from practical through to senior managerial.
As a Bakery Scientist you will:
- Manage and undertake work on behalf of clients
- Write reports for contract and research projects
- Provide advice to clients
- Identify new business opportunities
- Contribute to idea generation for bakery science and research
- Generate proposals for client work
The successful Bakery Scientist will have the following qualifications, skills and experiences:
?? Direct experience in the Bakery industry. Other food experience would be an advantage. At least 3 years in bakery and preferably industrial plant bread experience.
?? Graduate or equivalent with a qualification in food science or similar. Other professional qualifications would be considered.
?? Experience in using industrial bakery equipment
?? Analytical mind with good attention to detail and ability to find solutions to bakery problems.
?? An enthusiastic approach to bakery technology, keen to seek out new methods.
?? Puts the client/customer and their needs at the heart of everything that is done.
