The Client
Our client are the UK's leading charity in providing support to people with an Autistic Spectrum Disorder. They currently have a number of vacancies on their Brent Knoll, Somerset. we have vacancies with the Outreach/Day Service Team providing support in the community.
The role
You will be providing care for people with an Autistic Spectrum Disorder helping to increase their independence and integration into the community through supporting them with their daily living skills and networks, attending college, shopping, leisure activities amongst others.
You will need a car as you will be going out into the community providing support for clients with shopping, college and plenty of other aspects of daily life.
The purpose of this role is to provide a high quality and focused care and support service that responds to the needs of the people they support, enhancing quality of life and promoting independence. Key duties will include personal care, enhancing the social and emotional wellbeing of the people they support, creating a comfortable and stimulating environment, assisting in ancillary duties as necessary, maintaining accurate records, promoting involvement in shaping and monitoring services, and ensuring that care plans and risk assessments are followed. You will be required to work closely with your manager to ensure the services provided are CQC compliant.
The person
You will drive and own your own car. You will be a hardworking, committed and conscientious person who thrives on providing quality care in line with the required standards. You will be determined, patient and have a creative edge. Previous experience is preferred but not essential.
