Financial Analyst - Tewkesbury - Immediate Start

Position Summary:

To assist the Financial Controller in providing financial information and analysis to support the business.
To work effectively within the Finance Team and across the business.

Responsibilities:

???Assisting with the preparation of the Monthly Actual Results comparing to Forecasts, Annual Operating Plans and Last Year in a robust, efficient Excel Model
???Analysing and interpreting data with concise appropriate commentary
???Developing and replacing the current Excel Model(s) with a new robust integrated Excel Model, automating data links to Oracle system
???Assisting Financial Controller in automating Stock Accounting including introduction of Bills of Materials and any associated changes to Finance processes
???Developing Action Plans with budget holders using Problem Solving Forms (PSF) techniques
???To assist with product costing, analysis and evaluation, including margins.
???To assist Financial Controller in the preparation of AOP's, LRP's and other forecasts.
???Deputising for the Financial Controller
???Maintaining process notes of tasks undertaken
???Any other duties as requested

Technical Competences:

???Ability to manipulate, analyse and comment on financial data, as appropriate
???Timely and accurate completion of month end duties
???Knowledge of Oracle system or similar MRP/ERP system
???Process improvement experience and change management implementation skills would be advantageous

Skills:

???Knowledge of UK accounting principles and GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) to part or fully qualified level
???Advanced Excel skills including:
o Design & best practice, complex calculations, good modelling standards
o Efficient set up including named cell and named ranges
o Protection and error elimination including data validation
o Data Analysis including building pivot tables, scenarios and sensitivity analysis
o Macros and automation including setting up appropriate macros
o Pulling data via from ERP SQL tables and pivoting/ linking into reporting
???Excellent analytical skills and an eye for detail
???Ability to work accurately and to tight deadlines
???Effective communication skills across all levels of the business
???Experience of working in a manufacturing environment
