Premises Manager

Premises Manager required to join a leading National TFM provider within the Education Sector. Girling Jones require an experienced Premises Manager with strong management skills for an exciting opportunity within the diverse Education sector to work with and report to the Facilities/Deputy Facilities Managers, ensuring that all Services are provided and delivered to the Authority in accordance with the Service agreement. Your new position

As the Premises Manager you will be liaising and reporting to the Facilities/Deputy Facilities Managers, ensuring that all Services are provided and delivered to the Authority in accordance with the Service agreement. Maintaining high standards set within our key performance indicators to prevent financial penalties you will Customer focused within a diverse school environment. Working closely with the school Business Managers and be responsible for the management, co-ordination and implementation of all works from our CAFM system.

* Manage minor building works on site as required to ensure all works are carried out within their risk and method statements.
* Mechanical and electrical services maintenance (reactive and planned), equipment testing and commissioning (statutory), building fabric maintenance, asset maintenance, utilities, ICT infrastructure maintenance
* Manage Cleaning, waste management, security, grounds maintenance, landscaping, care-taking, leisure centre facility.
* Responsibility for Health and Safety - compliance with legislative requirements in relation to health and safety and fire regulations set within our Management systems
* Contract auditing, ensuring that Best Practice and quality of service are being achieved for cleaning, catering, grounds and maintenance.
* Management and overall management responsibility of of-site based employees including appraisal, training, and discipline.
* To organise and carry out various maintenance duties to ensure that the general upkeep and maintenance of the premises is satisfactory, as per specific schedule for the site.
* To monitor and make minor adjustments to the BMS system.
* To be responsible for the operation of a preventative planned maintenance programme and for routine inspections of the buildings, fixtures, fittings, furniture, premises and grounds to assess for minor work or repairs required to be carried out to maintain safe and satisfactory conditions
* To carry out checks of heating plant and lighting systems
* Undertake regular site inspections and identify and record repair and maintenance requirements
* Identify defects and record repair and maintenance requirements

What you'll need to succeed

* Previous experience in hard & soft FM provision with an extensive background in operational management and relevant trade experience in hard or soft FM
* Full UK Driving Licence
* IOSH Managing Safety.
* CDM regulations in Facilities Management.
* HABC, Level 3 in Legionella Control for Responsible Persons.
* Knowledge of ISO 18001:2007 Health & Safety Management Systems.
* Knowledge of ISO 9001, 2008 Quality Management Systems.
* Knowledge of ISO, 14001, 2004 Environmental Management System.
* Basic Electrical Training
* IPAF MEWP Boom/Scissor Training
* PASMA Scaffold Towers
