My client is an award winning independent food manufacturer, passionate about fine ingredients and quality. They have been producing and supplying artisan products to farm shops, delis and independent retailers for over 20 years.
They are now looking for a driven, articulate individual who shares their passion to join the vibrant sales support operation at their Head Office.
This is an internal sales role, reporting direct to the Sales support Manager, with responsibility for developing and maintaining customer relationships and assisting in the efficient running of the sales office including taking orders, upselling and cross selling whilst working closely with and giving support to Field Sales and their portfolio of nationwide, retail accounts portfolio.
You will be responsible for customer care, telephone sales, Field Sales support and customer accounts in working closely across the Sales, and Finance departments.
The successful individual will be required to be self-motivated and able to work as part of a successful team with an enthusiastic can do attitude to be able to manage own time, work on own initiative

Key Attributes
It is essential that the post holder:
Possesses background in sales, customer service or sales administration
Can communicate calmly, politely and effectively face to face, written and over the telephone
Understands the basic principles of sales and marketing
Is adept in the use of MS Office 2000 or later, particularly excel and word
Can understand simple financial reports and is competent at compiling correspondence
Is self-motivated, reliable and enthusiastic

It is desirable that the post holder:
Has knowledge of the speciality and health food industry
Has experience of using Sage 200 and CRM or similar database although training will be provided
Can demonstrate success and experience managing a variety of accounts and customers and have achieved genuine sales development
