What your job will involve:

- Working closely with both the Server Manager and IT Infrastructure Engineer to assist in analysing, configuring, deploying, testing and managing all local and cloud-based services on a daily basis.
- Working in a largely Windows-based environment, helping to maintain and improve the delivery of our core product (PPS Hosted) for clients worldwide via MS Remote Desktop Services.
- Additionally you will be assisting in the configuration and support of Linux-based servers that host our websites and apps
- You will be involved in server, services and general development projects
- Internal IT infrastructure administration support - from configuring, building and deploying new hardware to supporting the internal network and our small number of staff.
- Backup and update maintenance

As your role progresses, you may be required to infrequently work outside of our core business hours (9.15am - 5.45pm)

Essential skills and knowledge:

- Windows 2012 R2
- A good understanding of networking technologies (TCP/IP, DNS, etc.)
- Strong understanding and willingness to document procedures and policies
- PowerShell scripting experience
- MS Remote Desktop Services
- Linux (CentOS / RHEL preferred but not essential)
- Backup and Recovery Services
- Email Services
- Active Directory
- Group Policy
- Windows Gateway management
- DNS services
- FTP services
