Natalie Wood is recruiting for a Microbiology Laboratory Technician (Decontamination) to join a Food and Drinks R&D company based in Gloucestershire, on a full time, permanent basis. This client provides scientific, technical, and legislative support to the food, drinks and allied industries worldwide.

Job Summary:
To provide laboratory based technical support to the business activities of the Heat resistance & decontamination section of the Microbiology Department.

As a Microbiology Laboratory Technician (Decontamination) you will:
-Carry out practical work to agreed protocols and procedures within agreed time frames
-Ensure laboratory records are accurately maintained including where required equipment logs, safety records and experimental results including spreadsheets for reports, Ensuring the smooth running of the laboratory through assisting with hygiene maintenance and media stock control within the laboratories
-Work within ISO standards to maintain records and proficiencies accordingly
- Weekend and Bank Holiday work will be required on a rota basis, normally one in ten, either paid as overtime or taken as time off in lieu. Therefore own transport is essential.

The successful Microbiology Laboratory Technician (Decontamination) will have the following qualifications, skills and experiences:
?? A level/Graduate in biological sciences or equivalent, preferably relevant industry experience
?? Work accurately within specified time frames
?? Computer literate
?? Functional knowledge of English language
?? Enthusiastic, proactive team player
