Natalie Wood is recruiting for a Chromatography Laboratory Technician to work within the Chromatography Department for a Food and Drinks R&D company based in Gloucestershire, on a full time, permanent basis. This client provides scientific, technical, and legislative support to the food, drinks and allied industries worldwide.

Job Summary:
The purpose of the role will be to undertake analysis of client samples and support associated method development activities. The prime focus is within the illegal dyes and migration group but also to perform any other analyses within the chromatography section.

As a Chromatography Technician you will:
- Carry out analysis of foodstuffs and materials relating to the food industry according to client instructions, within agreed timescales.
- Carry out administrative tasks relating to analytical work e.g. sample receipt and booking in of samples into LabWARE LIMS system
- Perform method development activates under the direction of a senior analyst. Collect data and produce reports.
- Ensure all aspects of Quality are managed according to the company standards, including maintaining QC records for global migration tests
- Maintenance of UKAS accredited methods relating to migration
- Calibration, maintenance and daily monitoring of lab equipment e.g. balances, pipettes

The successful Chromatography Technician will have the following qualifications, skills and experiences:
- Science related degree or equivalent experience
-Basic knowledge of microbiological techniques relating to work carried out in the section
-Work accurately within specified time frames
-Computer literate
