As an organic company, each and every member of staff here started their career here as trainees with little no or recruitment experience and are continuing to climb the ladder. Promoting only ever from within, the progression here is clear, structured and target-based allowing you to progress from trainee to management in as little as 18 months.
The Role:
Recruitment is a sales-based B2B role. This is a full 360 role allowing you to be responsible for your own assignments from inception to completion. On a daily basis you will be developing new client relationships as well as maintaining existing ones, sourcing new candidates, arranging interviews, negotiating rates and closing deals.
At SmithCorp, consultants work in 'vertical markets' allowing you the chance to 'own' your clients and roles - this create a supportive, professional and fun environment where you will not be in competition with any of your colleagues.
Training:
Due to our organic structure, training is a huge investment for us. We have our own in-house Business Performance Academy offering support and guidance from Trainee right the way to Director level.
Initially, the vast majority of the training is 'on-the-job' in the form of a Mentor Training Programme enabling you begin earning commission from Day One whilst learning from one of the companies top billers. As is the nature of the company, your mentor will have started their career here as a trainee too and will be in a great position to provide valuable knowledge and experience.
What would my career look like?
1st Year -
You should hit at least two promotions and undergo a minimum of three training courses including a mentorship with one of the top billers here. There is no probation period and you have the ability to earn commission from day 1. Within your first 12 months, you should be set to earn between ??25-30k with your basic salary guaranteed to rise by a minimum of ??3k however hardworking consultants have earned over ??40k.
2nd Year -
You should be set to achieve a senior consultant promotion and on track to become a manager with your basic increasing by as much as ??7k. Realistically you should be set to earn between ??35-40k however, again, hard-working consultants have earned in excess of ??55k in this year.
3rd Year -
You should be managing a team of between 3 - 5 consultants with your mind set on growing your team further. Realistically you should be set to earn between ??50-60k however, again, the reward for those who go above and beyond expectations can expect to earn much higher.
4th Year-
You should be leading an established team of between 5 - 10 consultants and earning anywhere between ??80 - 100k and progressing towards Associate Director level.
Consultants who consistently hit targets can expect invites to three all-inclusive 5* holidays a year - Las Vegas, Portugal and a ski trip as well as Monthly Lunch Clubs. New trainees are often on our trips. It's very simple - hit your target and you will be on the plane! Additionally, you will receive a gym membership, company pension and healthcare plan. We reward longevity with Rolex targets.
Our Ideal Trainee...
This is a trainee role so we are not looking for anyone with recruitment experience.
What we are interested in is you as an individual - ideally you should have graduated with a 2:1 or above within the past 5 years with some experience of a working environment (this could be hospitality, sales, retail etc).
We're looking for people who are bright, career-driven and hardworking with a natural ability to build rapport and a genuine desire to work in a sales-based role.
You must be able to demonstrate your ability to work hard (this could be academic, extra-curricular achievements or work experience) - if you can put the hard work in, we can train you!
