Key focus of this job:

* In broad terms the role is responsible for facilitating change in the organisation, covering multiple aspects (people, process, organisation structure, operating models, technology).
* Taking a proactive approach and challenging the status quo
* Define and establish target business and technology
* Analyse specific business and technology problems ensuring that business needs and requirements are met
* Coordinate the delivery of technology, process, and organisational

Major duties will cover as follows:

* Understand the implications of the business change required, including feasibility study, assessment of viable options, production of appropriate business case, risk.
* Identify the benefits associated with the change and work with owners to maximise benefit realisation.
* Define migration path from current state to desired future state, considering time, budget and resource.
* Utilise appropriate tools and techniques to support the change.
* Deliver change in line with expectations of time, budget, benefits.
* Provide support to quality assurance, and system and user acceptance.
* Undertake learning of IT offerings such as Office 365, Cloud, collaboration tools identify and provide business units with expertise and advice on how best to utilise within their business

Key abilities and experience required:

* Strong communication, facilitation, presentation & negotiation skills
* Demonstrable experience of delivery in a project environment
* Hands on business process design and change management experience
* Business analysis skills from feasibility study through to delivery
* Experience of project delivery in a management or team lead role
* Understanding of business architecture design and operating models
* A good knowledge of insurance products and markets (Life, P&C, London Market)
* Experience of stakeholder management at all levels of the organisation, including senior executive
* Ability to work with and manage an offshore development team

Desirable background and skills:

* Previous experience in an operational role (primary insurance or reinsurance preferred)
* Specific reinsurance knowledge and experience would be highly desirable
* Experience of vendor management
