Have you got experience of working with children or young people? Are you looking to make the next step towards a career in teaching by working as a language specialist in a secondary school?


This role will involve working predominantly with secondary age children, supporting pupils who have English as an additional language, both on a one to one basis and in small groups. You will need to be fluent in Italian, supporting students by interpreting. Working alongside secondary teachers and other school staff, you will use your communication skills to deliver pre-prepared lesson plans and manage the supervision of a variety of classes. Working closely to the schools policies, you will be an advocate to the students and manage behaviour where needed.


Requirements:

  • Recent experience of working with secondary aged children
  • Language specialism Italian
  • Good communication skills and professional outlook

This position will also involve working with parents and guardians to ensure the child's language is progressing and their transition to school in the UK is supported effectively.
