The company client is a well respected motor insurance brand who are currently seeking to recruit a driven and tenacious Claims Auditor to join their rapidly expanding team based in East Sussex. The job holder will be responsible for conducting internal and external audits across all areas of the third party claims business ensuring that best practice and regulatory requirements have been met. The successful applicant will also ensure claims have met operational efficiency standards and adhered to the level of customer experience the business expects. Please note although this role is based in East Sussex, the employer will also consider a home-working / flexible working arrangement.

Major deliverables for this job will include:

* Primarily focus on third party claims with the aim of assessing liability, leakage, reserving accuracy, procedural knowledge and quality and ensuring best practice is adhered to at all times.
* To prepare, research and conduct allocated audits and make findings in relation to prescribed audit activity
* To obtain and collate feedback from the claims teams and/or external suppliers and distribute findings to relevant stakeholders, including the senior claims management team.
* To develop a complete understanding of all claims processes, new initiatives and best practice and the relevance/impact of inefficient processes on customer services, leakages and fraud, with a particular focus on third party claims.
* To attend and contribute to group discussions with claims managers and team leaders providing feedback on relevant audits and providing solutions to promote continuous improvement.
* Acting as a senior responsible owner to review and check the quality of the work undertaken within each audit to ensure the integrity of the data relied upon and that the objectives of the audits have been met.
* Ensure that you (and any direct reports) are meeting customer's fair and reasonable expectations and provide fair outcomes

Background and skill set required for this role:

* Strong technical knowledge within TP motor claims (liability, personal injury), with at least 2+ years spent as a TP Motor Claims Handler
* Experience performing audits on third party claims files
* Strong commercial awareness within motor insurance
* The ability to work closely with senior claims staff and provide feedback when required
* Ability to provide detailed reports and claims MI
* CII / Dip CII preferred
