Cambridge University Press has a unique opportunity available for a JavaScript Lead Developer to join the team. The role is a full time, permanent position offering a salary of £45,000 - £50,000 per annum plus benefits.

We are looking for a Full Stack JavaScript Lead Developer or hands-on Solutions Lead to join our Platform Technologies team. You will be joining a mature agile environment and will work closely with Product Owners, Solutions Architects and a team of Senior Developers based in our Cambridge office, as well as our experienced offshore QA and development teams.
What are the responsibilities of the JavaScript Lead Developer?
- Hands-on technical leadership and implementation of one of our flagship online applications – Cambridge Core
- Working with the Solution Architects to shape the broader platform architecture
- Provide domain expertise to your Product Owners to assist in requirement rationalisation, prioritisation and planning
What skills do I need to have to become a JavaScript Lead Developer?
- In depth experience of modern web development technologies
- Significant, commercial experience of Full Stack JavaScript (Node.js and associated frameworks)
- A working understanding of Test automation and Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment
- Hands-on experience of working in a cloud infrastructure (AWS)
- Appreciate data modelling complexities with both SQL and noSQL databases
- Excellent solution design, analysis and documentation skills
- Experience of SOA / Web Services
