Our client is one of the world’s largest suppliers of power systems and construction equipment. They are now seeking a Technical Support Advisor to join their team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a customer support professional from an engineering or construction background to take their next step with a market leader.
Our client is committed to meeting the development and training needs of all their employees. With a strong policy on training and development in place and a number of processes to meet this, they will assist, encourage and promote opportunities to aid you to fulfil your potential.
What’s more, our client is keen to communicate the fact that their people are their strongest asset and promote a culture of communication, reward, empowerment and accountability. If this sounds like the sort of place you could thrive, our client wants to hear from you.
As a Technical Support Advisor, you will be challenged to support Electric Power customers. Delivering outstanding levels of support and customer service, you will seek to maximise product availability and minimise the cost of ownership for customers.
Supporting your customers through early problem identification, you will remotely diagnose issues and dispatch field service engineers to provide on-site support as required. As this is a 24/7 monitoring service, you will be required to work a shift pattern.
This is an SLA driven role that will see you adding value to the services our client offers as well as the contracts customers are engaged in. You will need great customer focus in addition to engineering knowledge and the ability to utilise both of these skill-sets to deliver an excellent service that keeps customers delighted with our client.
Interested? To be considered, you must have:
- Customer support experience, gained within the engineering or construction sector
- A good level of IT literacy
Communicative and intuitive, as a Technical Support Advisor, you must also possess exceptional communication, presentation, planning and organisational skills and the ability to problem solve at a high level. You’ll also need to be able to think on your feet and multitask effectively to succeed.
A background in alarm and/or CCTV monitoring would be beneficial to your application, as would an engineering qualification and previous experience of supporting generators.
