Persimmon Homes West Wales requires an experienced Buyer ideally with house -building experience (not essential), to join our Commercial team based at our office in Swansea. They must be able to schedule materials, raise purchase orders, produce material cost analysis to ensure competitive prices. They also need to carry out tender comparisons, compiling site material budgets, carry out cost to complete for sites to ensure they are on budget, deal with all purchasing queries from site to ensure build programmes are achieved and liaise with other departments, .

The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate sound purchasing skills. They must have Commercial awareness, an eye for detail, are reliable, demonstrates effective cost control/reconciliation skills, be a team player, organised, enthusiastic and have a positive attitude.

The applicant should also be ambitious and determined to build a long term career with this progressive regional business.

The successful candidate will have at least 4 years experience in a Buyers position, sound knowledge of cost control, procurement and product awareness.

Qualified to a minimum of HND standard.
