JOB TITLE: Residential Support Workers

SALARY: Up to £20,000 per annum for full time staff dependent on qualifications and experience

Hourly rate for Casual Staff of £8.07 to £9.00 dependent on qualifications

WORKING HOURS: Full time (37 hours per week) and Casual opportunities available

 

THE COMPANY: Our client is a forward looking and privately owned National Provider of Children’s Services. They run a number of different care services across the UK and are currently recruiting for additional Residential Support Workers to join their Residential service, which supports children and young people, with opportunities available in Hinckley, Coventry and North Warwickshire.

 

THE ROLE: This is an exciting opportunity for individuals who want to work for a caring organisation, where you can really make a difference to the lives of the young people you support. Working as a Residential Support Worker you will be responsible for caring for the children and young people in all aspects of their home lives, and acting as an advocate for their needs.

 

Key Responsibilities of the Residential Support Workers role to include:-

  • Actively safeguard and promote the welfare and development of the children/young people

  • Act as a positive role model for young people and promote structure, boundaries and routines within the home

  • Create a homely setting to which the child or young person can identify

  • Undertake the role of a key worker

  • Work in line with care and placement plans

  • Provide and participate in leisure activities

  • Develop and maintain professional working relationships with colleagues, other agencies, children/young people and families

  • Have awareness and take shared responsibility for the health and safety of the home.

 

THE CANDIDATE: The ideal Residential Support Worker will be caring, approachable and compassionate by nature with excellent communication skills. You will be passionate and committed to helping young people develop in a reassuring ‘family’ environment. Previous experience is not essential as full training will be provided.

 

Key criteria essential for Residential Support Worker role:

  • Able to commute to one of the following locations: Hinckley, Coventry or North Warwickshire

  • Successful candidates will be required to complete an Enhanced Disclosure & Barring check.
