The day-to-day duties
The role of the Senior Financial Controller is to take overall responsibility for the running of their larger client accounts department and to be the principal client contact on any financial issues. The Senior Financial Controller adds value to the client by being a commercial business partner.
- Account management of technical and large clients
- Business Partner to client management team providing commercial support and leadership
- Advanced financial reporting, planning and analysis
- Day to day management of finance team
Responsibilities include
Commercial Leadership includes
- Driving sales growth and margin
- Support on sales and supplier contracts
- Developing business KPI's
- Develop reporting systems and produce commercial analysis
- Critique monthly forecasts with client management team
Financial reporting includes
- Reviewing of monthly management accounts and consolidation pack, ensuring that they are accurate and professionally presented
- Providing appropriate narrative and KPI information
- Manage monthly forecast process
Annual procedures
- Manage the year-end audit process
- Ownership of Group consolidated statutory accounts
- Managing tax (external or internally provided advice)
- Manage annual budget process
- Manage annual budget process
Other
- System implementation
- Supporting corporate Finance projects such as due diligence and acquisitions
Skills and Qualifications required:
- Chartered accountant
- At least 5 years post qualified and relevant experience
- Practice and technology industry background is an advantage.
- Confident with systems and analytics
- Ability to travel to client sites as required
